TIFs can't be reformed or adjusted.

Secretive

TIFs are off the books and collect hundreds of millions of property tax dollars annually and lavish that money on clouted and wealthy insiders in a opaque and arrogant process that rejects oversight, protest, and public repeal.

Corrupting

TIFs are part of Chicago's infamous "pay to play" political culture. Tine and again we see the people getting TIF dollars lavishing campaign contributions on the mayor and aldermen who GIVE them that money. Remember, Chicago is the MOST corrupt city in America.

Unfair

TIFs hand-cuff public dollars in the wealthiest communities and starve poor ones. This is unfair, anti-distributive, and racist. TIFs are the latest line of assaults on our Black and Brown communities.
